Hey there, I’m Lucas Hendren. I’m an Entrepreneur, Engineer and climber/skier who spends a lot of time in San Francisco.
I’m an passionate and life long engineer, entrepreneur, and reasearcher! I double majored from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, in Physics and Electrical Engineering. While there I was published twice, once for computer vision in the Journal of Biophotonics and Nano-tech in Nature. My first Job was at Capital One. While there he led their Decentralized Tech R&D team rapidly building out MVPs on emerging technologies. I also worked on an data science team using ML to combat fraud and worked on a web development team working on Masterpass. I am an open source contributor having contributed to Ethereum, Tensorflow, and Pytorch. I am also a white hat hacker in my spare time. I was previously the CTO and Co-Founder of SimplyVital Health, a digital healthcare startup. I built out our decentralized applications and ML analytics from scratch. This includes our decentralized network, care coordination, NSF Phase 1 project, analytics platform and data marketplace.
I then worked at Alphabet! While there I contributed to Project Baseline, the clinical trials tool that supported the Pfizer Covid-19 Trial! I provided Infra and oncall support, UI, backend and frontend support, and led the implementations of new backend architecture to scale! I also did work with Google Brain on High Level synthesis with AI/ML. I next went to Meta to lead and build new ai/ml infrastructure, and was able to increase data speeds by 6x!
I took the last year to do graduate classes, ai/ml research in environmental and healthcare topics, and support my wifes company Share Creators while doing the occasional consulting project!
Im now continuing to do research in healthcare and environmental causes while being a senior engineer doing data and ai/ml infrastructure at Hubspot

In my spare time I enjoy rock climbing and snowboarding, having climbed and skied multiple mountains across the United States. I also am an avid traveler having back packed my way through Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia immersing myself in the cultures and languages. He can even play a nice tune on the guitar
